Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Exposure by inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms develop.Exposure by ingestion: Drink fluids to dilute. Seek medical attention.Exposure to the eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.Dermal exposure: Wash affected area with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agents: Alcohol, foam, carbon dioxide and dry chemical extinguishers may be used.Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to the relevant national or international standards.Avoid dust formation by damping down with water. Absorb spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (e.g. sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to waste containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine. containers filled with waste material must be labelled in the same way as the original containers.Clean the spillage area with water and detergent.Dispose of waste material by incineration in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

The substance should be stored, handled and used in conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local regulations in order to minimise exposure.Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the substance. When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled, appropriate personal prtective equipment must be worn. such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate international or national standards as follows:Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374.Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368Eye protection to standard EN166.When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be used, use a dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1.The standards mentioned above should be regarded as a minimum.store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from open flames. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the substance. When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled, appropriate personal prtective equipment must be worn. such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate international or national standards as follows:Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374.Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368Eye protection to standard EN166.When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be used, use a dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1.

Stability and reactivity

The substance is combustible and will burn if incolved in a fire, evolving noxious fumes (e.g. carbon and phosphorous oxides). However, there is no experimental evidence to support the anticipated combustion products. No chemical reaction with water that can be regarded as hazardous.

Disposal considerations

The neat substance is never present in the EU.Pre-preg sheets and waste from manufacture of electronic circuit boards should not be disposed of to landfill, and should be incinerated by burning under controlled conditions at a licenced facility in accordance with local regulations. stack gases should be scrubbed, as noxious fumes (e.g. carbon and phosphorous oxides) could be formed. The substance should not be discharged directly to the sewage system or the aqueous environment.
