First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Administer oxygen if breathing

is difficult. Seek immediate medical assistance.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with water. Hold eyelids open to

ensure adequate flushing. Seek medical assistance.

Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately remove contaminated clothing and wash affected

area with soap and water. Seek medical assistance if

irritation or other symptoms develop.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Administer 1-2 glasses of milk or water to dilute ingested

material. Seek immediate medical assistance.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry powder or water spray.

self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing during all clean-up

activities. Confine the spill and shut off ignition sources.

Avoid raising dust. Collect spilled material with a high

efficiency particulate vacuum. Place waste in an appropriate

labelled container for disposal. Do not allow to enter

public sewers and watercourses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dust generation. Handle only in areas with adequate

ventilation. Appropriate personal protective equipment

should be worn when handling this material. As a minimum

this should include chemical resistant gloves, coveralls,

safety glasses and boots. Disposable booties and gloves

should be taped to coveralls. A full-hood powered

air-purifying respirator will also be worn.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry area with adequate ventilation. Store

in fibre-board drums lined with polyethylene.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Material is packaged into 25 kg double-lined fibreboard

drums.
