First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash the hands and any part of the body soiled by the
substance with water. In cases of ingestion, call a doctor

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: No special precautions. (The UK c.a. assumes that CO2,
water, foam or powder extinguishers may be used. Carbon,
nitrogen and sulphur oxides may be formed together with
small quantities of hydrogen fluoride gas. Heating in a
tightly sealed container may lead to an explosion).

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Powder form: Collect and dispose of either in a controlled
tip or an incinerator. Solution: Collect with absorbent
material and incinerate.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dust formation. If dust is produced then suitable
precautions must be taken to avoid inhaling it.

Storage: Store in a cool place, keep away from heat.

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The dye left after use cannot be recycled as the reactive
part is irreversibly modified.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Recommended for cases when the substance is involved in an
accidental spillage.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Possible formation of hydrogen fluoride gas in small
quantities; also much NOx/SOx.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not readily biodegradable Nevertheless,
the substance may be removed by precipitation or absorbed
onto mud.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: After application to the textile the substance cannot be
recovered
