Remarks on result:
other: No melting was observed between -150°C and +35°C under the condition of the test, but glass transition was observed at -122°C.

The DSC measurements were performed twice. After cooling to -150°C at a rate of 2 K/min the sample was heated to 35°C at a rate of 10 K/min. The cooling as well as the heating curve show only a glass transition, indicating that the test item had solidified amorphously. No other thermal effect from crystallisation or melting was registered upon further heating, see attached DSC thermograms.


 


Melting temperature: No melting point was found between -150 and +35°C under these conditions. A glass transition was observed at -122°C / -122°C.

Conclusions:
No melting was observed for the test substance under the condition of the test between -150°C to +35°C at 1013 hPa, but a glass transition was observed at -122°C. The result is considered to be reliable.

Additional information

In a DSC study conducted in accordance with OECD Test Guideline 102 and in compliance with ISO 17025, no melting was observed for the test substance under the conditions of the test between -150 and +35°C at 1013 hPa, but a glass transition was observed at -122°C. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.


 


In a secondary source to which no reliability could be assigned, a limit melting point of < -80°C was reported for the substance.
