Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The water solubility of Indium hydroxide was determined according to OECD

guideline no. 105 [adopted on 27 July 1995] and EU test method A.6 [Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008] with the flask method. Water solubility (at 20 °C ± 0.5 °C) of Indium hydroxide: <1 mg/l. This result is obtained at environmentally irrelevant low pH (3.6.). therefore it is not considered relevant for ecotoxicity.

No T/D tests were performed on In(OH)3 , but, considering the rapid dissappearance of In-ions from the In-substances in general, as following from the T/D tests, the solubility results obtained on In2O3 were read-accross to In(OH)3: after 7 days, In measured at pH 6 was <1.0 µg/l; after 28 days, In measured at pH 6 was <1.0 µg/l.
