First-aid measures

-After inhalation: If person looses consciousness, experiences nausea, headache or dizziness move to fresh air until these symptoms disappear. Symptoms may include tremors, ataxia and convulsions. Call a doctor immediately. Acute exposure may cause mild and transient irritation to the respiratory tract.

-After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If irritation develops, seek medical attention. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and launder before re-use. Acute exposure may cause transient redness and irritation.

-After eye contact: Immediately flush with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Seek immediate medical attention. Impairment of vision is possible.

-After swallowing: Immediately drink large quantities of water. Call a doctor immediately. Vomiting is expected within 5/10 minutes. DO NOT give anything by mouth if the person is unconscious or is having convulsions. If swallowed, gastroenteritis may occur with nausea, vomiting, lethargy and diarrhoea.

Fire-fighting measures

-Suitable extinguishing agents: Carbon dioxide, Water spray

-Protective equipment: You are recommended to wear a positive pressure respirator with vapour/mist cartridges, splash proof goggles, hard hat and impervious gloves, boots and clothing.

-Additional information: Take note of surrounding materials. Cool endangered receptacles with water spray. In case of fire use normal fire fighting equipment

-Stable until: 200 deg.C

-Materials to be avoided: Strong Oxidising agents. Direct exposure to ultraviolet radiation causes slow decomposition.

-Dangerous decomposition products: Nitrogen oxides, Carbon monoxide, Sulphur dioxide

Accidental release measures

-Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course. This material is only slightly soluble in water. Stop water flow or divert water around spill area if safe to do so. Stop source of spill as soon as possible and notify site or duty manager.

Notify the Emergency Services, National Environment Agency.

-Measures for cleaning/ collecting:  Remove or clean up material in powder form if possible.  Add water to solid material after installing a proper dike to contain the mixture, then remove in liquid form, containerise and label properly as a hazardous waste.

Handling and storage

-Handling: Do not take internally. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Upon contact with skin or eyes, wash off with water and seek medical advice. Avoid breathing dust, mist or vapour.

-Storage: Indefinite when stored unopened in original container in a dry place at  temperatures below 54C. Store in a cool location. Store away from oxidizing agents. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store at temperatures above 54C

-Incompatible materials: Strong Oxidisers
