Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
boiling point
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling
Cross-referenceopen allclose all
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
other: estimated by calculation
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
results derived from a valid (Q)SAR model and falling into its applicability domain, with adequate and reliable documentation / justification
Qualifier:
no guideline required
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: estimation by EPIWEB v. 4.11
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
ca. 349.84 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 atm
Remarks on result:
other: the value was estimated by EPIWEB v 4.11

Melting Pt Estimations (MPBPVP v1.43):

Melting Pt (deg C): 349.84 (Mean or Weighted MP)

Conclusions:
The melting point was estimated by EPIWEB v 4.11. The value of melting point is 349.84 °C at 1 atm.
Executive summary:

The melting point was estimated by EPIWEB v 4.11. The value of melting point is 349.84 °C at 1 atm (REACH&Colours, 2016).

Key result
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 atm
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
ca. 215.9 °C

An endothermic peak was observed between 115 -148°C, followed by substance decomposition between 216 -353°C. The decomposition onset is 215.9°C with an enthalpy energy of 489.9 J/g.

Conclusions:
The substace melting point was determined by DSC according to OECD 102. The decomposition of the substance was observed with onset temperature equal to 215.9°C.
Executive summary:

The substance melting point was tested by thermoanalysis (DSC) according to OECD 102. An endothermic peak was observed between 115 -148 °C, followed by substance decomposition between 216 -353 °C. The decomposition onset is 215.9°C with an enthalpy energy of 489.9 J/g (REACH&Colours, 2015).
