A study to assess the toxicity to terrestrial plants does not need to be conducted because direct or indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.

The substance has no high potential to adsorb to soil based on the adsorption coefficient log Koc= 1.85. According to the available information about production and processing of the substance and the uses identified, direct releases to the terrestrial compartment is unlikely as they can be excluded for the industrial stages and are negligible for the widespread uses, because they are predominantly indoor uses. Substance residues being washed off will be drained into wastewater. Where outside uses occur (consumer end-use of washing and cleaning products and consumer end-use of biocides) the substance concentration is very low (< 1%) and contact to soil is not foreseen according to the exposure scenarios developed as part of the CSA (please refer to chapter 9 of the CSR). An input via sludge application on agricultural soil is considered to be negligible, too, as the substance does not adsorb to the sewage sludge to a significant extent. It can be concluded for all uses considered here, that the risk for the terrestrial compartment is low and no further information and/or testing is needed.
