Potassium ethanolate hydrolyses into KOH (1310-58-3) and ethanol (64-17-5). For both substances disseminated dossiers are published on the ECHA homepage. Due to the fact that both substances are not classified for the environment and
potassium ethanolate is only used as an intermediate the endpoints for chapters 5 and 6 are not filled in. The classification for the environment of potassium ethanolate is derived from the two hydrolysis products.
