Conclusions:
Solid K-HDO is considered to be highly flammable.
Executive summary:

The determined burning time of K-HDO is 21 s.

Due to a burning time of < 45 seconds purified K-HDO is considered to be highly flammable.

However K-HDO is commercially available only as a 30 % aqueous formulation. Due to the high water content of 70 %, K-HDO as manufactured is not flammable.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test item is non-explosive
Executive summary:

The explosive properties of K-HDO have been tested according to 92/69/EEC, annex A14. The method provides a scheme of testing to determine whether a substance presents a danger of explosion when submitted to the effect of flame (thermal sensitivity) or to impact or friction (mechanical sensitivity). The thermal sensitivity test (steel sleeve test), the falling weight test (sensitivity to impact) and the friction test (sensitivity to friction) showed that K-HDO is not explosive. None of the tests resulted in an explosion of the test substance. No fragments were observed in the tests. No explosion and no flames were observed in the falling weight test. No crepitation occurred and no flames were observed in the friction test.
