and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.

SKIN

Wash skin with plenty of water and soap.

INGESTION

Wash mouth out with water. Drink water to dilute, get medical aid in case of ingestion of large amounts.

INHALATION

Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. Rest.

ADVICE TO PHYSICIAN: Treat symptomatically and supportively.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA

Sodium sulphate is not inflammable. All extinguishing media are suitable.

SPECIAL HAZARDS

Formulation of irritant or poisonous vapours at high temperatures.

Accidental release measures

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND MEASURES:

Wear protective goggles and dust protection in dusty places.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION:

Remove spoiled Sodium sulphate mechanically. Rinse with water.

Handling and storage

HANDLING:

Local exhaust ventilation when dust is generated.

STORAGE:

Store dry. After moisture take-up volume will increase and agglomerations will be built.

ENGENEERING CONTROLS:

Use adequate vetilation to keep airborne concentartions low.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:

None.

PERSONAL PROTECTION:

Protection against dust, gloves, protection goggles

Stability and reactivity

CHEMICAL STABILITY:

Stable under normal temperatures and presures. Hygroscopic: absorbs moisture or water from the air..

CONDITIONS TO AVOID:

Incompatible materials, dust generation, exposure to moist air of water.

Temperature higher than 1200 deg C (decomposition and formation of SO2 and Na2O).

Contact of melted Sodium sulphate (melting point 884 degr C) with aluminium will cause violent reactions (formation of Al2O3, Na20 and SO2/SO3-gas). Danger of explosion!

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS:

Oxides of sulfur, sodium oxide

INCOPATIBILITIES WITH OTHER MATERIALS:

Strong oxidizing agents, storng acids, aluminium, magnesium.

Disposal considerations

Be aware of local regulations.

Dispose of in a manner consistent with federal, state, and local regulations.
