Additional information

From the short-term toxicity tests it can be seen that invertebrates are most sensitive to sodium sulfate. A long-term test is available for invertebrates showing that sodium sulfate is not toxic when organisms are exposed over a longer period. The NOEC in this study was greater than 1000 mg/l, which shows that sodium sulfate is not a substance of concern, therefore a long-term fish study would not provide new information and is not necessary.
