Biodegradation in water

Within the experimental period of 28 days a degradation rate of 5% was determined for dimethyl propylphosphonate. According to the internationally accepted OECD criteria dimethyl propylphosphonate can be classified as "Not Readily Biodegradable".

No further testing on biodegradation in soil and sediment is required as no degradation in these compartments is expected and further testing would not provide additional information on biodegradation in the environment.
