Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. Call
in a physician immdediately and show him the Safety Data
Sheet.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse the affected eye immediately with plenty of water at
the same time keep the unaffected eye well protected.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash off immediately with polyethylen glycol 400, then with
plenty of water. Consult a doctor if skin irritation
persists.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Call in a physician immediately and show him the Safety Data
Sheet. Let the casualty drink plenty of water in little
gulps.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: water spray jet, foam

Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Use self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Pick up material avoiding the formation of dust (e.g. using
an industrial vacuum cleaner of approved type) and if
neccessary fill in containers capable of being locked.
Containers should be adequately labelled. Clean contaminated
floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental
regulations.

While taking up the substance, prevent skin and eye contact
as well as inhalation of it. Wear personal protective
equipment (see "handling").

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods must be designed so that exposure by
skin contact and, if applicable, by inhalation of the
substance is minimized. As far as possible, closed, or at
least dustproof /splashproof, equipment should be used
during filling, transfer and metered feeding as well as
during sampling. In the case of handling the substance
(powder) in open systems, any dust that can form should be
extracted directly at the point of origin. If technical
extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are
insufficient, respiratory protection (e.g. filter A2B2E2K2)
should be worn. To avoid skin contact, tested protective
gloves (e.g. nitrile rubber / PVC) and, if applicable,
suitable protective clothing (e.g.DuPont Tyvek Classic)
should be worn.

Adequate washing facilities should be available in the
immediate vicinity of the work area. After skin contact, the
affected parts of the skin shoud be cleaned thoroughly using
(polyethylen glycol 400). Skin-protection and skin-care
measures are recommended. If dust can develop, due to the
potential dust explosion risk, potential ignition sources
should be removed from the work area. In addition, measures
should be taken to prevent electrostatic discharges.

Storage: For the storage the original packaging drums or other
unbreakable and correctly labelled containers are to be
used. Keep containers tightly closed and dry and secure by
suitable measures against falling down. Store containers at
a cool and well ventilated place.

Avoid product residues on the packing drums.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Fiberdrum with PE-inliner.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).
Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient exhaust ventilation or prolonged exposure.
Use chemical resistant gloves according to category III of DIN EN 374, minimum thickness 0,3 mm,.
Use tightley fitting safety glasses.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Exothermal polymerization reaction possible.

Chemical reaction with water: None

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Substance should be taken to a suitable and authorized waste disposal site in accordance with relevant regulations and if necessary after consultation with the waste disposal operator and/or the competent Authorities. Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste.
