REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the

substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should

be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in

REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling

arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal

protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is

available at each manufacturing site.

Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received

from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s

intermediate.

Precautions for safe handling:

Avoid formation of dust or aerosol.

Exposure controls

Do not generate dust or aerosol

Respiratory protection:

In case of dust or aerosol formation use respirator with an approved filter.

Suitable mask with particle filter P2 (EN143)

Hand protection:

Impervious gloves

Nitrile, rubber

The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.

The choice of an appropriate glove does not only depend on its material but also on other quality features and is different from one producer to the other.

The break through time depends amongst other things on the material, the thickness and the type of glove and therefore has to be measured for each case.

Gloves must be inspected prior to use.

Replace when worn.

Eye protection:

Wear eye/face protection.

Safety glasses

Skin and body protection:

Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concentration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the specific work-place.

Recommended; lightweight protective clothing.  Disposable one piece overall with integral hood

Hygiene measures:

Provide adequate information, instruction and training for operators.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.

When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
