Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
0.35

Additional information

2-phenoxyethanol exhibits a low bioaccumulation potential (log Kow 1.6) which is supported by the calculation of the BCF of 2-phenoxyethanol yielding a value of 0.35 (BASF 2007). Hence no bioaccumulation potential of the substance is to be expected and consequently, further bioaccumulation testing does not need to be performed.
