Under REACH only a biodegradation screening test in water is required in order to assess the biodegradability of a transported isolated intermediate.

 

In a sealed vessels ready biodegradability test according to ISO Norm 14593:2005 and OECD test guideline 310, Zorgol 48 (1-Hexanol, 2-ethyl-, manuf. of, by-products from, distn. Residues) (2.98 mg C/L) was found to be inherently biodegradable.
