Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Remove victim from area to fresh air. Seek medical attention
of respiratory difficulties or irritation arises.
Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for several minutes. Seek
medical attention if iritation develops.
Skin: Wash affected areas with plenty of water, and soap if
available, for several minutes. Seek medical attention if
irritation develops.
Ingestion: If swallowed, give 3-4 glasses of water but do not induce
vomiting. If vomiting occurs, give fluids again. Seek medical attention in order to determine whether vomiting or
evacuation of the stomach is necessary. Do not give anything
by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing
person.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry powder, water spray, or foam extinguishers may be used.
Product arising from burning or pyrolysis: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a
fire, evolving noxious fumes
(e.g. oxides of nitrogen and
carbon and sodium containing compounds). However, there is
no experimental evidence to support the anticipated
combustion products.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breating
apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Prevent product from entering drains.
Methods for cleaning up: Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Safe handling advice: No special precautions required.
Advice on protection: Avoid dust formation. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
against fire and explosion
Storage:
Requirements for storage: Keep container tightly closed. To maintain product quality, do not store in heat or direct sunlight. Keep in a dry, cool and
areas and containers well ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Respiratory protection: No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required.
Hand protection: Suitable material : Nitrile rubber
Break through time : > 480 min
Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through
times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields
Skin and body protection: No special protective equipment required
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None reported.
Chemical reaction with water: The substance protonates in neutral pH to form the EINECS
listed acid DMH.
Materials to avoid: Bases, Strong oxidizing agents, Strong acids
Hazardous decomposition
products: nitrogen oxides (NOx), Carbon oxides
Hazardous reactions: Stable under normal conditions.
Disposal considerations
Waste from residues: Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
Contact waste disposal services.
Contaminated packaging: Where possible recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration.
