First-aid measures

Inhalation:
Move to fresh air for rest. Give blanket and etc. for warming. Get medical attention if feel sick.
Eye contact:
Take out contact lenses if easily and possible. Immediately wash out with clean running water for at least 15 minutes. Get immediate medical attention.
Skin contact:
Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin with clean water and soap. Get immediate medical attention if any symptom. Wash contaminated clothing and shoes thoroughly before re-use.
Ingestion:
Rinse mouth well. Get immediate medical attention.
Acute or delayed symptom:
Irritation to eyes, respiratory organ and skin.
Exposure may cause headache, dizziness, vomiting, breathing difficulty and etc.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:
Carbon dioxide (CO2), dry chemical, foam, dry sand, water spray.
Specific methods of Fire-fighting:
Wear appropriate protective clothes and respirator. Stay upwind position. Toxic gases are generated in a fire such as carbon monoxide. Use appropriate extinguishing media. Avoid entry of extinguishing media into environment. Move containers to safe place when surrounding fire. Use spray water to cool containers and surrounding area.

Accidental release measures

Personal precaution:
Remove ignition source such as smoking, spark, fire and etc. Avoid people’s entry into spill area immediately. Connect all equipment to ground for the prevention of static charge. Prepare fire-fighting tools. Wear appropriate protective equipment (refer to section Exposure controls/personal protection). Keep wind at your back. Stop spill from containers if safety. Use sand to stop spill’s spreading.
Environmental precaution:
Prevent spill’s entry into environment.
Recovery and neutralization:
Collect spill to empty sealable containers. Use sand, dry sand and etc. to collect residual spill into sealable containers. Do not release cleaning water to environment if wash contaminated area. Dispose in accordance with all applicable regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling
Technical measures:
Avoid ignition source. No smoking. Avoid high temperature, spark and strong oxidant. Seal containers with lids soon after each handling. Handle containers carefully. Do not give shock to containers. Handle in a well-ventilated place. Use exhaust ventilation at working area. Avoid uninvolved person‘s entry into handling area.
Precautions:
Wash skin, eyes, gargle, hands, face and etc. after handling. Isolate contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly before re-use. Treat carefully to avoid spreading and spilling. All equipment such as ventilation, lightning etc. should be explosive proof and should have antistatic measures.
Safe handling advice:
Wear appropriate personal protections to prevent ingestion, inhalation and eye/skin contact.

Storage
Storage conditions:
All equipment such as ventilation, lightning etc. should be explosive proof and should have antistatic measures. Remove ignition sources. Do not store together with strong oxidant, organic peroxide and azo compound. Keep away from sun light and store in cool and well ventilated place. Long storage may cause polymerization. Storage in cold storage system for long storage. Light causes polymerization. Keep away from light. Keep in cold dark place.
Safe container material:
Light-shielding glass/ polyethylene/ polypropylene bottle, steel drum.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering measures:
Use closed equipment to avoid exposure to mists, spray and vapors. Place local exhaust ventilation in handling area. Provide eyewash facility and shower near working area.
Control parameters: Not established.

Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection:
Chemical gas mask for organic gas, air-supplied respirator.
Hand protection:
Chemical protective gloves for organic solvent.
Eye protection:
Chemical eye protection.
Skin and body protection:
Chemical protective clothing.

Stability and reactivity

Stability and reactivity:
Long exposure to high temperature or light may cause polymerization. React with water and generate benzoic acid and polyvinyl alcohol.
Conditions to avoid:
Avoid high temperature, open flame, spark, sunlight, static electricity and other ignition sources.
Incompatible products:
Strong oxidants, organic peroxide.
Hazardous decomposition products:
Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, benzoic acid and polyvinyl alcohol.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:
This combustible material may be burned in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber. Offer surplus and non-recyclable solutions to a licensed disposal company. Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material.
Dispose of Contaminated packaging as unused product.
