Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Boiling point
Boiling pt.:
667 K
Decomposition:
yes
Remarks:
demonstrated by black residue in the crucible
Remarks on result:
other: Similar thermographic profiles were obtained in air and nitrogen atmospheres indicating that the observed decomposition is probably thermal and not oxidative.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test material has been determined to boil with decomposition from 667 ± 0.5K at 99.98 kPa
Executive summary:

The boiling temperature has been assessed using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) according to EU method A2 in compliance with GLP. Using a calibrated Differential Scanning Calorimeter, the temperature at which an endotherm event equivalent to the boiling temperature recorded in duplicate. Taking an average of the recorded exothermic events, the boiling temperature was determined to onset at 667±0.5K with decomposition, as evidenced by black residue in the crucible after each determination.
