Additional information

The substance is not classified as hazardous for the environment based on acute toxicological data and a BCF factor <<500.

However, since the substance is not readily biodegradable, has high Log Pow and Log Koc values (both > 3) and no toxicity data on sediment organisms are currently available, sediment effects assessment has been conducted in order to demonstrate that the substance is safe for the terrestrial compartment.

As the result of the assessment the PECs (Predicted Exposure Concentrations) are very low and the RCRs (Risk Characterization Ratios) are <1 and therefore the use of the substance can be considered safe for the terrestrial compartment.
