- After mixing a total of about 5.4 g of the test item in 5 ml of water the test item was completely dissolved. Thus, the test item is miscible with water.
A main test using the flask shaking method was not possible as no saturated solution of test item in water can be prepared.
Due to the result in the preliminary test, the water solubility of Cobalt Nitrate Hexahydrate was found to be > 669.6g/L at room temperature. The water solubility was not corrected for the purity of the test item. - Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results: very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The water solubility of Cobalt Nitrate Hexahydrate was found to be > 669.6g/L and the water solubility of Co(NO3)2 is therefore > 421g/L at room temperature.
