Administrative data

First-aid measures

In general:

Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product. Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.

- After inhalation

Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm. Consult doctor if symptoms persist.

In case of unconsciousness, place patient stably in side position for transportation.

In cases of irritation to the lungs, initial treatment with Dexametason metered aerosol.

- After skin contact

The product irritates the skin.

Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

- After eye contact

The product is damaging the eyes.

Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. After that, consult a doctor.

- After swallowing

If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air. Call for a doctor immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing agents

Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.

- Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases:

- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.

- Additional information

Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.

Accidental release measures

- Person-related safety precautions:

Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Wear protective acid-resistant clothing. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

- Measures for environmental protection:

Avoid release to the environment. Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

Inform respective authorities in case of seepage into water course or sewage system.

In case of seepage into the ground, inform responsible authorities. Absorb spillage to prevent material damage. Collect spillage.

- Measures for cleaning/collecting:

Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles.

Pick up mechanically.

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Handling and storage

- Information for safe handling:

Keep receptacles tightly sealed.

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Waste air is to be released into the atmosphere only via suitable separators.

- Information about fire - and explosion protection: No special measures required.

Storage

- Keep only in original container.

- Store in corrosive resistant container with a resistant inner liner.

- Keep receptacle tightly sealed.

- Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.
