Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a 72 h toxicity study according to OECD guideline Nr. 201 and in compliance with GLP principles. Freshwater algae Scenedesmus subspicatus (new name: Desmodesmus subspicatus) were exposed to the substance. Based on the geometric mean measured test concentrations of the centrifuged test samples the EC50 values were estimated to be greater than 0.50 mg/L. Correspondingly the No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) was 0.50 mg/L (determined in the definitive test).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
0.5 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
0.5 mg/L

Additional information

Slightly other numbers have been derived in an Annex XV report (2015). Awaiting the new IUCLID of the lead registrant the results will remain as they are.
