First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water for at least 15 minutes and
seek medical attention
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected area with
soap and water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water, keep patient still and obtain
immediate medical attention

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Do not breathe fumes; wear self-contained breathing
apparatus. Remove small containers from exposure if without
risk. Wet container with water to keep cool. Extinguish
fire with water spray, foam or carbon dioxide depending on
the nature of other combustibles. Combustion products will
include some sulphur oxides and soot.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Observe handling precautions above; contain spillage in
sand or earth, transfer to drums, and keep safe for
disposal. Subsequently wash affected area with detergent
and water. Dispose of waste at a suitable incineration site

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid breathing vapour. Avoid contact with skin and eyes;
wear protective gloves, boots, overalls and eye protection.
Wash thoroughly immediately after handling or if
contaminated. Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling.

Storage: Keep in tightly closed containers in a secure designated
space away from heat and oxidising materials

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not possible as all the substance is totally converted in
the production of the final herbicide.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable as the substance has no known hazardous
effects

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be destroyed by incineration at 1100 deg
C in a properly designated plant. A minimum residence time
of three seconds is recommended. SOx likely to be evolved.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
