A study was conducted to determine the flammability of the read-across substance 'glycerides, C16-18 and C18 unsatd., deodorizer distillates' in accordance with the EU Method A.10 in compliance with GLP. In a preliminary test, a pile of the read across substance with a length of 250 mm, a width of 20 mm and a height of 10 mm was prepared in a aluminium mould. The pile was ignited at one end with a hot flame from a gas burner. The substance did not ignite in the preliminary test. Therefore, no further testing was required. Under the conditions of the study, the substance is not considered to be highly flammable (Fieseler, 2010q). Based on the results of the read across study, the test substance, Soaps, stocks, vegetable oil, acidulated is considered to be not highly flammable.

Based on the studies conducted with different distillates having overlapping composition, ‘soaps, stocks, vegetable oil, acidulated’is not considered to be flammable and does not require classification according to CLP (EC 1272/2008) criteria.
