Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the chronic toxicity to earthworm of DiPE triisononanoate triethylhexanoate (CAS No. 68443-84-5). The effect of the test substance on earthworm survival, growth and reproduction (OECD 222) was tested in accordance with GLP provisions (Eisner, 2013). The test was conducted with artificial soil that was mixed with the test substance. Earthworms of the species Eisenia fetida were exposed to the test substance for 28 days and then removed from the test substrate. The survival rate and growth (body weight) of the specimen were determined. After another 28 days the hatched juveniles were collected from the test substrate and the reproduction rate was recorded. Mortality, a decrease in body weight of the adult earthworms or inhibition of reproduction was not observed. Thus a NOEC ≥ 1000 mg/kg soil based on the reproduction rate was determined.
