Description of key information

Triclosan is acutely very toxic to higher plants.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Data on the effect of Triclosan on the exposure of higher plants have been investigated in several studies on Lemna gibba and Lema minor. The effect data are summarised in the table below.

The PNEC aqua has been derived follwing the sensitivity distribution method using all reliable longterm effect data.
