Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
07 May 2020 to 09 March 2021
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
1995
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
column elution method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
SOURCE OF TEST MATERIAL
- Batch number of test material: 10701776
- Purity: 99.89%
- Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow, clear liquid
Key result
Water solubility:
0.074 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 7.06 - <= 7.21
Remarks on result:
other: Standard Deviation: 0.013 mg/L
Details on results:
According to the test guideline five consecutive samples should not differ in concentration by
more than ±30 % and the mean values obtained from two tests with different flows should not
differ by more than 30 %. These criteria were fulfilled and therefore, the study is valid.

The R² fit of the calibration curve used was 0.9980. This reflects the linearity of the analytical
system within the calibration range of 0.0208 – 0.201 mg test item /L.

The calibration was verified by a 2nd weighing of the test item and dilution of this stock solution
into the calibration range at levels of 0.0225, 0.0419 and 0.210 mg/L. Analysis of these
solutions and evaluation against the calibration curve yielded recoveries of 80 % to 97 %
compared to the nominal values. These data show the correct preparation of the calibration
standards.
Conclusions:
The water solubility was found to be 0.0744 ± 0.013 mg/L at 20 °C.
Executive summary:

The determination of the water solubility of the test substance was performed according to the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals, No. 105: Water Solubility, using the column elution method with flow rates of 21 and 41 mL/h. The water solubility at 20 °C was found to be 0.0744 ± 0.013 mg/L.

Description of key information

During this study, the water solubility of the test substance was determined at 20 °C using the column elution method. The water solubility was found to be 0.0744 ± 0.013 mg/L at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.074 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The determination of the water solubility of the test substance was performed according to the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals, No. 105: Water Solubility, using the column elution method with flow rates of 21 and 41 mL/h and HPLC (UV).
