Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Toxicity to algae: 72 hr ErC50 >11 mg/l, ErC10 >11 mg/l and NOEC >=11 mg/l (geometric mean measured) (highest concentration tested) (OECD TG 201), in terms of the substance as tested. The observations in this study are attributed to the exposure of test organisms to the parent substance in the test system and the test results are interpreted to indicate no effects up to the limit of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
11 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
11 mg/L

Additional information

A 72-h ErC50 value of >11 mg/l and NOEC of ≥11 mg/l (geometric mean measured) (highest concentration tested) have been determined for the effects of the registration substance on growth rate of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata. In view of the test media preparation method and exposure regime it is likely that the test organisms were exposed predominantly to the tested substance. The test concentrations are measured by LC-MS/MS and DOC analysis.  Concentrations ranged between 28 and 51% of nominal, consistent with some variability due to the presence of apparent undissolved test material in the test media.
