Additional information

Due to the complex nature of the test item, media for investigations of short-term aquatic toxicity were prepared as a Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs). Given that the toxicity cannot be attributed to a single component or a mixture of components, but to the test item as a whole, results were based on nominal loading rate.

Conclusion on classification

Based on the available environmental fate and ecotoxicological data for daphnids, fish and algae, this substance needs to be classified for the aquatic environment according to EU CLP (Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008). This substance has acute aquatic toxicity between 1-10 mg/L in the most sensitive species, is not readily biodegradable; and has a BCF of 436 in whole fish.
