Column 2 of REACH Annex IX indicates that terrestrial toxicity testing can be waived for a given substance if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. Taking into account exposure scenarios elaborated for Atlen SK it was concluded that direct and indirect exposure of soil compartment is unlikely in case of Atlen SK (see Chapter 9 of the Chemical Safety Report) and thus it is proposed to waive testing for terrestial toxicity.
