Description of key information
The log partition coefficients for the rosin ester substances range from 2.44 - >6.5.
In unbuffered media, a partition co-efficient range of 4.6 to >6 (7.3) was determined for Resin acids and rosin acids, hydrogenated, esters with
pentaerythritol.

Additional information
A GLP-compliant study conducted according to OECD Method 117 (HPLC method) was provided for Resin acids and rosin acids, hdyrogenated, esters with pentaerythritol (Inveresk Research, 2003a).
An additional supporting study conducted according to EU Method A.8 (shake-flask method) is available for Resin acids and rosin acids, hydrogenated, esters with pentaerythritol (Chilworth Technology Ltd., 2010a)
The following partition coefficient result was obtained: Log P = 3.31.
