After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice

After ingestion: When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the packaging or the label of the packaging.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, foam

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours:

In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

Special protective equipment for firefighting: In case of fire, wear respiratory protection

Further information: Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Keep away sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil

Methods for cleaning up/taking up:

Take up with suitable equipment and if necessary collect in closed containers. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. Avoid raising dust

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Avoid dust formation. Provide exhaust ventilation.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from sources of ignition. Take precautions against accumulation of electrostatic charge. Avoid deposition of dust.

Dust explosion class : ST2 Capable of dust explosion

Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed. Protect from heat

Exposure controls / personal protection

During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance Art. 18.

Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.

General protective measures: Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin

Hygiene measures: Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages.Wash hands before breaks and after work.

Respiratory protection : Dust mask

Hand protection :

Nitrile rubber gloves.Minimum breakthrough time (glove): not determined. Minimum thickness (glove): not determined

Observe the information of the glove manufacturers on permeability and breakthrough times and other workplace requirements

Eye protection : safety glasses/face shield

Body protection : working clothes

Stability and reactivity

Thermal decomposition : > 230 °C

Hazardous reactions: When handled and stored appropriately no dangerous reactions are known.

Hazardous decomposition products: When handled and stored appropriately, no dangerous decomposition products are known

Disposal considerations

Product: Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators

Uncleaned packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste
