Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
partition coefficient
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 107 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), Shake Flask Method)
Version / remarks:
Coeffcient(n-0ctanol/water):Shake Flask Method. adopted on 27th July 1995
Deviations:
not specified
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
other: Shake Flask Method
Partition coefficient type:
octanol-water
Analytical method:
gas chromatography
Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
ca. 0.06
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
> 2 - < 2.3
Details on results:
pH of test water was 6.5, and a Pow value is calculated from the data of each run. Altogether six values are obtained since the test conditions are: three duplicate runs with different solvent ratios, and possibly also different quantities of test substance. The six log POW values should fall within a range of ± 0.3 units. A POW value is calculated from the data of each run. Altogether six values are obtained since the test conditions are: three duplicate runs with different solvent ratios, and possibly also different quantities of test substance. pH of six aqueous solution was test to be 2.28, 2.29, 2.17, 2.14, 2.02, 2.05.

Partition coefficient (n-0ctanol/water) was calculated to be 0.06.
Conclusions:
Partition coefficient (n-0ctanol/water) was calculated to be 0.06.
