First-aid measures

First-aid measures after inhalation :
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. In case of
breathing difficulties administer oxygen. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek
medical attention.
First-aid measures after skin contact : Immediately remove contaminated clothing or footwear. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
First-aid measures after eye contact :
Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes minimum).

First-aid measures after ingestion :
If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Get medical advice/attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : Dry powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Water spray. Alcohol-resistant foam.
Unsuitable extinguishing media : Strong water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Reactivity in case of fire : On burning: release of harmful/irritant gases/vapours.
Advice for firefighters
Firefighting instructions : Use water spray/stream to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers.
Protection during firefighting : Wear fire/flame resistant/retardant clothing. In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Other information : Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or
surface water.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
For non-emergency personnel
Protective equipment : See protective measures
For emergency responders
Protective equipment : See protective measures
Environmental precautions
Do not empty into drains or the aquatic environment.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
For containment : Depending on the ambient temperature and physical state: Absorb with liquid-binding material
(e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents). Collect in closed containers
for disposal. Take up mechanically (sweeping, shovelling) and collect in suitable container for
disposal.
Methods for cleaning up : After cleaning, flush away traces with water.
