Additional information

Skin irritation: FR-513 was found to have no effect on rabbit skin when applied onto clipped skin for 4 hr. Based on the study FR-513 was found to be non-irritant to the rabbits under the conditions of the study.

Eye irritation: FR-513 was found to have effects on the eyes of the rabbits which completely resolved after 7 or 14 days in two animals. In one aminal some of the effects persisted until 21 days (the maximum observation period). Based on the results of this study the substance is considered highly irritating and as such classified in the EU.


Effects on eye irritation: highly irritating

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of the acute irritation to eye study, FR-513 is considered highly irritating and as such classified under the EEC criteria for classification and labelling requirements for Dangerous Substances and Preparations (67/548/EEC) and the CLP Regulation (EC No 1272/2008).
