The results of the Rekker calculation method and the HPLC method were not in agreement. Since the HPLC method is more accurate than the Rekker calculationmethod, the results of the HPLC method is reported as the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water), Pow, of FR-513.

The Pow value for the major component in FR-513 is 4.3 X 102 (log Pow = 2.6) at 22.5 ± 0.5 Deg C; The Pow value for the impurity in FR-513 is 1.5 X 103 (log Pow = 3.2) at 22.5 ± 0.5 Deg C.
