Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No toxicity to aquatic organisms is observed upto 1000 mg/L. The substance has a low sorption potential and is readily biodegradable. There will therefore be no or only very limited exposure of terrestrial organisms to the substances. The PNEC soil will be derived using the EPM method. No risks are indicated and therefore no additional terrestrial testing in line with Annex IX of REACH is proposed.

In the absence of measured data the PNECsoil can be provisionally calculated using the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM). According to the TGD this method uses the PNECaquaticand the soil/water partitioning coefficient as inputs.

The PNECsoil is then calculated using the equations detailed in the TGD

 PNECsoil

= Ksoil-water* PNECaquatic* 1000 * 1 / RHOsoil

Where:

PNECaquatic

= 0.714 mg/L

Ksoil-water

= 0.209 m3/m3

RHOsoil

= 1700 kg/m3(TGD)

PNECsed-EPM

= 0.0878 mg/kg ww

= 0.1 mg/kg dw
