Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Read-across:

Based on the experimental results obtained with the analogue cyanuric acid (100% degradation, DOC removal 8 h), the read-across approach is applied and Trisodium cyanurate is considered biodegradable, under test conditions.

Based on the experimental results obtained with the analogue cyanuric acid (biodegrades readily under a wide variety of natural conditions, and particularly well in anaerobic activated sludge and soils, CO2 and ammonia are the initial hydrolytic breakdown products) , the read-across approach is applied and the same results can be extrapolated for substance trisodium cyanurate, under test conditions. Trisodium cyanurate can be considered as biodagradable under test conditions.
