- Justification:
The results of a prolonged test accordingto OECD 301B clearly show that the substance is inherently biodegradable. Hence, the substance is regarded as not persistent (not P) and not very persistent (not vP). The experimentally determined log Kow of 2.1 (BASF AG, 1999) indicates no potential for bioaccumulation (not B/vB). The substance is also not T since the substance not officially classified and the only available chronic value is higher than 0.01 mg/L
In conclusion, the substance is assessed to neither fulfill the PBT criteria (not PBT) nor the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).
