During the preliminary test the FP-100/cellulose mixture was burning with a blazing flame for 5 seconds but the burning did not spread. The barium nitrate/cellulose mixture during the same test burned for 81 sec with a greenish to red, sizzling flame. The burning time of the reaction of the test item mixture was higher than the burning time of the reference mixture, therefore the first step of the main test was performed.

 

During the main test (as performed in the present study) the burning of the prepared FP-100/cellulose mixtures did not spread or did only spread at the surface of the mixtures.

 

In conclusion, FP-100 has no oxidizing properties.
