Description of key information

The 96h- LC50 of DMPT for fish is 0.21 mg/l, which indicates that the substance is moderately toxic to fish.

Additional information

Based on the results of the acute fish toxicity test, the 96-hour LC50 of DMPT for rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) was determined to be 0.21 mg/l; (NOEC = 0.01 mg/l).

In addition, a preliminary dose-finding study for the OECD 305c bioaccumulation study produced roughly the same dose range for acute toxicity on a different fish species (Oryzias latipes).
