Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The environmental hazard assessment for (fresh-) water organisms and sediment habitats is supported by several acute studies (pelagic compartment) and a chronic daphnia study. All these studies were perfored according to GLP and international guidelines and have Klimisch scores of 1 and 2.

For the environmental hazard assessment of DMPT (other name: GST, CAS 131538-00-6) acute toxicity studies for freshwater fish, daphnids, and freshwater algae are available. In addition, a long-term study for daphnids is also available.Experimental information about toxicity on marine organisms, sediment organisms and STP organisms is not available.

All studies were conducted with the registered substance. The short-term EC50/LC50 values for fish, Daphnia and algae were 0.21, 0.22, and 1.5 mg DMPT/L, respectively. The long term values for algae were 0.125 mg/L (NOEC) and 0.059 mg/L for daphnids based on parental mortality (EC10).

The daphnids were the most sensitive trophic level with an chronic EC10 of 0.059 mg DMPT/L. This value will be used as worst case scenario for the risk assessment of aquatic organisms.
