Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

For any environmental exposure and hazard assessment for sediment and soil, a dual worst case approach will be followed. The environmental hazards and exposures of the substance will be determined by using a Koc value of 10 and by using a Koc value of 5050. These Koc values are considered to be the worst case Koc values, in an environmental risk assessment for a degradable substance.

Additional information

As the substance is readily biodegradable, the adsorption/desorption screening study according to REACH Annex VIII does not need to be conducted. Moreover, the screening study is technically not feasible for this surface active UVCB substance.

Based on the composition of the substance it is expected that many components have a high potential for adsorption to sediment/soil, while other components are expected to have a low potential for adsorption to sediment/soil.
For any environmental exposure and hazard assessment for sediment and soil, a dual worst case approach as explained in a RIVM report will therefore be followed (https://www.rivm.nl/bibliotheek/rapporten/601516013.pdf). The environmental hazards and exposures of the substance will be determined by using a Koc value of 10 and by using a Koc value of 5050. These Koc values are determined by RIVM to be the worst case Koc values, for a degradable substance.
