EC number: 695-797-0
CAS number: 93601-86-6
Short-term toxicity results for
Daphnia and algae are available for the substance. The 48h-EC50 for
Daphnia magna was 33 mg/L based on nominal concentrations. The 72h-ErC50
and 72h-ErC10 for algae are 8.1 mg/L and 4.7 mg/L, respectively, based
on nominal concentrations.
Short-term (acute) aquatic hazard
Since the acute EC50 values are > 1
mg/L, the substance does not need to be classified according to the CLP
Long-term (chronic) aquatic hazard
The only available chronic value is
the 72h-ErC10 for algae. The chronic classification has to be determined
based on this chronic value according to Table 4.1.0 (b) (i) (as the
substance is not readily biodegradable) and based on the available EC50
value for Daphnia and environmental fate data according to Table 4.1.0
(b) (iii). The most stringent outcome is leading:
- As the chronic value is > 1 mg/L,
the substance does not need to be classified based on this available
- As the substance is not readily
biodegradable and the EC50 value is >10 but <= 100 mg/L, the substance
needs to be classified as Chronic Cat. 3 based on this EC50 value.
is therefore concluded that the substance needs to be classified as
Chronic Cat. 3 (H412) according to the CLP Regulation.
