Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: A modern study conducted in compliance with GLP standards and followed OECD guidelines.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 104 (Vapour Pressure Curve)
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
spinning rotor
Specific details on test material used for the study:

Batch: E00275-350
Sample Expiration Date: end-2013
Purity:100%
Key result
Temp.:
20 °C
Vapour pressure:
0.001 Pa
Remarks on result:
other: 8.30 x 10-4 ± 5.41 x 10-5 Pa

The offset value (mean DCR) was 3.9706 x 10-7 s-1 at 20 ± 1C. This value was based on the average deceleration rate measured with an empty sample chamber.

The mean measured background vapor pressure of the system by the SRG method was 7.29 x 10-5 Pa at 20 ± 1°C. The measured values for the background vapor pressure measurement and system out-gassing rate are presented in Table 2.

The mean measured vapor pressure of the reference substance, benzoic acid, by the SRG method was 5.82 x 10-2 Pa at 20°C. The vapor pressure was consistent with published values.

The system offset pressure using a molecular weight of 600 g/mol was 2.2032 x 10-4 Pa. The calculated mean measured vapor pressure of the test substance by the SRG method, using a molecular weight of 600 g/mol, was 8.30 x 10-4 Pa at 20C. The measured vapor pressure ranged from a minimum of 7.92 x 10-4 Pa to a maximum of 8.92 x 10-4 Pa.

Conclusions:
The mean vapor pressure for the test substance at 20 ± 1ºC was 8.30 x 10-4 ± 5.41 x 10-5 Pa using the spinning rotor gauge method.
Executive summary:

The vapor pressure of EXP1200078 was determined at 20ºC using the spinning rotor gauge method. The study was conducted in compliance with GLP standards and 104 OECD guidelines. The mean vapor pressure for the test substance at 20 ± 1ºC was 8.30 x 10-4 ± 5.41 x 10-5 Pa using the spinning rotor gauge method.
