Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The material has shown high acute ecotoxicity results in short term testing in all species and substance is therefore classified as:

  • Aquatic Acute 1, H400: Very toxic to aquatic life.
  • Aquatic Chronic 1, H410: Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

As a result and on the grounds of animal welfare, it is not proposed to undertake further long term toxicity testing. Such testing is not considered scientifically necessary as it will not add any further information on the toxicity or classification of the substance.

Hydrolysis and degradation endpoints also indicate the substance rapidly dissociates in the aquatic environment and soil through mainly chemical but also biological degradation. As such long term exposure to the substance is unlikely.
