Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The toxicitiey of dilithium salicylate to Ceriodaphnia dubia in a 48 hour static non-renewal five concentration dose-response test were determined in GLP-compliant, static, freshwater test. This study was performed in general agreement with the US EPA-821-R-02-012 and EPA/600/4-90/027F. The chemical confirmation of the test substance was based on analysis of total organic carbon (TOC). Observations for immobilization were performed at 24 hours and at 48 hours. Acute toxicity results are expressed as percent immobilization. The 50% Effect Concentration (EC50) is the calculated concentration of the test substance which would cause 50% immobilization in a population of test organisms over a specified exposure period. Percent immobilization observed at 48 hours was 0, 0, 15, 40, 100 and 100% for the Control, 4.55, 11.4, 34.3, 103 and 291 mg/L (measured) treatment groups, respectively. Therefore, the 48 hour EC50 value for MRD-17-136 (Dilithium Salicylate) with pH adjustments to the 12, 36, 105 and 300 mg/L (nominal) treatments is 39 mg/L with 95% confidence intervals of 32 to 46 mg/L based on mean measured concentrations.
