First-aid measures

- Description of first aid measures

· General information: Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.

· After inhalation:
IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell.
In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.

· After skin contact:
IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

· After eye contact:
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

· After swallowing:
Rinse out mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting.
If symptoms persist consult doctor.

- Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
No further relevant information available.

- Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
No further relevant information available.

Fire-fighting measures

- Extinguishing media
· Suitable extinguishing agents: Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions. CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
· For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In case of fire, the following can be released:
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Under certain fire conditions, traces of other toxic gases cannot be excluded.

- Advice for firefighters
· Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.

- Additional information
Cool endangered receptacles with water spray.
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Avoid formation of dust.
Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.

- Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Dispose contaminated material as waste according to Section 'Disposal considerations'.
For small quantities: Take up with suitable equipment and dispose of.
Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing.

- Reference to other sections
See Section 'handling and storage' for information on safe handling.
See Section 'exposure controls/personal protection' for information on personal protection equipment.
See Section 'disposal considerations' for disposal information.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling
Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
Avoid the formation and build-up of dust.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
See Section 'Exposure controls/personal protection' for information on personal protection equipment.

· Information about fire - and explosion protection:
Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
Protect against electrostatic charges.
Avoid formation and build-up of dust.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
· Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Suitable conditions for storerooms and receptacles shall be determined by considering all relevant national and local laws and regulations regarding the storage of hazardous goods..
· Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from strong oxidising agents, strong reducing agents, strong alkalis, strong acids.
· Further information about storage conditions:
Store in the dark.
Protect from exposure to the light.
Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.
Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool.
Store between 2 and 8 °C.

-Specific end use(s): No further relevant information available.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Additional information about design of technical facilities: No further data; see section 'handling and storage'.

- Control parameters
· Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Not required.
· Additional information: The lists valid during the making were used as basis.

- Exposure controls
Local exhaust ventilation usually required. If risk of overexposure exists, wear approved respirator.
Maintain air concentrations below occupational exposure standards.

- Personal protective equipment:
· General protective and hygienic measures:
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working.
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Wash thoroughly after handling.
Store protective clothing separately.
Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.

· Respiratory protection:
In case of brief exposure or low pollution use respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer exposure use self-contained respiratory protective device.

· Protection of hands: Protective gloves - Chemical resistant gloves (EN 374).
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.
Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/ the chemical mixture.
Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.

· Material of gloves
The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

· Penetration time of glove material
The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

- Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles

- Body protection: Wear protective clothing / face protection

Stability and reactivity

- Reactivity: No further relevant information available.

- Chemical stability:
· Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided:
No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
Avoid heat, flames and sparks.

- Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Exothermic polymerisation.
Risk of dust explosion.

- Conditions to avoid:
Protect from exposure to the light.
Protect from exposure to UV radiation (e.g. direct sunlight).

- Incompatible materials:
Strong oxidising agents, strong reducing agents, strong alkalis, strong acids.

- Hazardous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known.
For decomposition products in case of fire: see section 'Fire-fighting measures'

Disposal considerations

- Waste treatment methods
Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.
· Recommendation: Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage
system.
· European waste catalogue: HP14 - Ecotoxic

· Uncleaned packaging:
· Recommendation: Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
